The sensation of beauty is active and kinetic. Unlike common perceptions of beauty that portray beauty as passive and something that just happens to you or is presented to you objectively, my work involves people in actively sensing beauty. What does beauty feel like? To answer this question, I create objects and spaces that engage people in haptic and kinetic experiences. My own experience of beauty has always involved physical activity and physiological responses within me. Beauty is something I feel. It is haptic, active, participatory, tangible, and definitely not passive. These specific traits are mimicked within my work.
